STB Consulting is led by Scott Haag, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, an experienced building performance and sustainability consultant with nearly 20 years of experience in energy modeling, LEED certification, and high-performance building design. With a background spanning LEED development, quality management, and project review, Scott brings a uniquely informed perspective to helping clients navigate complex certification requirements, optimize building performance, and make confident, data-driven design decisions.

Scott's experience includes contributing to the development of LEED v4, serving as a former Manager of Quality at Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), and currently working as a LEED reviewer. He also managed the development of the LEED v4 Minimum Energy Performance Calculator and has completed more than 1,200 LEED project reviews. This combination of technical expertise and firsthand review experience gives him a deep understanding of certification requirements, common documentation challenges, and the details that can influence a project's path to successful certification.

Through STB Consulting, Scott provides specialized support in whole-building energy modeling, early-design energy analysis, energy code compliance, daylighting analysis, LEED consulting, and building performance evaluation. His expertise in ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, and 55, along with experience in life cycle assessment (LCA), allows him to help project teams evaluate performance, address technical challenges, and integrate sustainability goals into practical design solutions.
